Weight 2011 - week 1

My new years resolution for this year is (again) to lose weight. I have tried maybe a hundred times the last few years, but always seem to fall back......

Time to try something new. For motivation (and a bit of group pressure) i'm going to write weekly reports and observations on my progress. Hope this will keep me on track !

Anyway. Today is day 1, week 1. Score is 0 kg, 55 kg to go........ Will probably take up to a year to complete...

First step is to watch the calories and start with some lunch walks again. then slowly but surely start moving more.

Biggest challenge for me are evenings and nights. If only i could sleep a full night without waking up hungry....

Update in a week. Hope that will be good news...

Skotta, skotta, skotta

Phew. - 17 and still sweating from skotting the snow. My wish for christmas is that it rains hot water, just for a day!!

Some more geocaching

We spent last sunday searching for geocaches again. A very fun day it turned out to be:


Jenny and Elin at the Kings oak. A place hidden at a little creek in the forest where a king once crossed.


An old watermill where the geocache was hidden in the machineroom. A bit scary to go in there


A geocache that was for the view to the manor.




This was an interesting one. It was about a rift in the mountain blasted out for a railway. Halfway though, people started to strike, and it never got finished. Had to climb to get to the cache as in the last picture. My poor legs still hurts. (no mom, not as scary as it looks)

St. Maria kyrka. Never had been there despite living 10 km away. Good way to visit new places



A view over Glan, our local lake. A cache was hidden at this spot where the wind and water were coming in.


And finally one hidden at one of the local little railway stations. Here Jenny found it just seconds before a bus arrived and couldn't hide the cache again. We had to wait for 2 busses and one train before we could put it back and be on our way.....

All in all a very good and fun day. Hope we can do this more often as it is a good way to discover the area and do things outside.

Ambulance

Last saturday after a walk in town we ended up in an exhibition at Stykjärnet in town. Elin and Jenny got to ride an ambulance:

During the last day in Holland, we spent some time in a big gardencenter feeding the fish.

Antwerp Zoo

One of the oldest Zoo's in the world, the Antwerp zoo right besides the central station. A nice place to spend a day.

Rotterdam harbour

Spent a day exploring one of Europe's biggest harbours. We finally made it out to a viewing point right at the edge of the Northsea.

Efteling

Visited the Efteling in Holland this summer. Still the best themepark if you ask me. Great day for all the family







The last picture has a little story behind.. This butterfly did not want to leave me alone and landed on my back several times. Every time when we scared it away, it followed to sit down again.

Stjärntopsravinen

We made a little daytrip to Stjärntorpsravinen. Here, a little creek runs through a valley. Nice area, little water though due to the hot weather. Nice walk with Elin in the carrying chair.

Visit to Vånga Linköping

During the summer we spent a nice day in Vånga, a recreation area close to Linköping. Some pictures of that day:

Geocaching Bäcken

We finally started geocaching. This lake we found during on of our first searches at the start of summer.
